Texas Flat Iron Steak Sandwich
We have been wanting a good steak sandwich for some time now. Talking BBQ with Andy from Western Beef & Seafood, he suggested we try his Flat Iron Steaks. So Patti and I gave it some thought and came up our Texas Flat Iron Steak Sandwich. We grilled up some Texas Toast, steak and potatoes. Poached an egg, made a sauce using Country Bob’s, added cheese and we were set for a quick and awesome meal.
Tender, juicy steak resting on melting cheese and topped with an egg, then wrapped in garlic toast. Oh Boy!!!
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Grill: Stove top griddle
Ingredients:
2 Flat Iron Steaks
4 slices of Texas Toast
Cheese, we used pepper jack and cheddar
2 eggs, poached
½ cup Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce
½ cup mayo
1 tsp. crushed, dry garlic
½ tsp. coarse ground black pepper

Get your Griddle HOT
Directions:
Mix the Country Bob’s Sauce, mayo, garlic, and the black pepper together and set it aside until you are ready for it.
Get your griddle screaming hot and throw your steaks on. These guys are a half inch thick and real tender. They will go fast, about 3 minutes a side. Then, toast the bread a few minutes each side. Poach 2 eggs so that they are ready at the same time.

Toast your Bread
Plate your bread, add the cheese, steak, egg and sauce and the second slice of bread. Now you have a great Flat Iron Steak Sandwich.
