We are Ken and Patti Fisher. We do “Back Yard BBQ”. What that means is that we do BBQ that anyone can do at home or tailgating. Anywhere you can set up your grill.
We don’t have the stress or the crowds from competition BBQ. But, we have competition quality BBQ and still have plenty of judges. (Our Crash Test Dummies)
We love the quiet and stress free atmosphere on our patio, where we enjoy a fire in the old cast iron stove. I call it "Fire For Effect"
And, there is a lot to be said for firing up the grill. Most people don't realize that wood pellet cooking is a healty and lower fat style of cooking. None of the bad stuff from charcoal or gas, just natural wood pellets that add lots of flavor to your food. Once you have tasted foods done on a pellet grill you will not want to grill or BBQ any other way.
We enjoy a nice assortment of grills: Memphis Wood Fire Grills/Smokers both the Elite and Pro, Royall wood pellet grills / smokers, Traeger, Char-Broil, CharmGlow, Brinkman, Weber and we use them all. But, we are always ready to try out a new one.
We have so many recipes that I had to organize better …
With our “New and Improved” web site there are sections for recipes by type,chapters on burgers, ribs and kabobs for example. Not just Beef, Pork, Lamb and Chicken. So click on the Recipes Tab and check us out.

Introducing Ken & Patti as Guest Chefs

It’s both an honor and pleasure for me to be part of your life each week. You take a few moments to read an article, look at a recipe and maybe even prepare something on the grill that I’ve written about.
How lucky am I to get to play a small part in food you prepare and share for your friends and family? Very lucky!
Several weeks back I received an email from Ken about a night each week he and his wife, Patti, call Date Night.
I liked the idea and called him on the phone. We spoke at length about his love of spending time preparing a meal to share with his friends and especially when he and Patti can be together.
I am such a softie!
During the call I urged him to go ahead and start his own web log to share his ideas and recipes.
Well he did and it’s called Date Night Doins.
How cool is that?
Now Ken and Patti want to share their recipes and grilling ideas for making special ‘Date Nights’ with all of us and have become Guest Chefs for Sizzle on the Grill.
